The Justice System depends on the police, defense attorneys,
prosecutors and judges working together.  If police and defense
attorneys are ineffective, the information provided to judges and
prosecutors leaves little likelihood of a just verdict being reached.
Through his actions, the Honorable Judge Jeffrey Manning has shown
his desire to hear all the evidence.  He is supported by the Chief Law
Enforcement Officer for Allegheny County, District Attorney Stephen A.
Zappala.  Mr. Zappala is a dedicated member of the Pennsylvania
Government’s Committee on Wrongful Convictions, a group established
to study the underlying causes of wrongful convictions and make
recommendations to reduce such occurrences

There is a bounty of additional evidence supporting a finding of Actual
Innocence for Cox.  With your support, the DCLDF can ensure that all
avenues are pursued and all the facts are presented to the courts on
Da’Ron’s behalf.  Help us make the justice system work for all citizens.

The only thing that was proven in
Allegheny Court in July of 1997
is that without adequate counsel
– that is, a lawyer who actually
interviewed and presented
eyewitnesses - a jury was not
provided with the evidence
needed to render a fair and just
verdict.

continued his studies, taking courses toward his college degree.  Now
being detained at The Huntingdon State Correctional Institute, he is
working with other inmates to create a Youth Development Program to
be launched in urban communities.
